About us
Couptic is a promo code tracker with a small newsroom attached. We list the codes and deals that retailers are currently publishing through their affiliate networks, and we write about how discounting actually works at checkout.
The tracker holds 75,831 live offers across 4,569 retailers. Every one of those store pages is matched against the merchant feed once a day.
What makes this different from a coupon wall
Most coupon sites accept reader submissions. That is where dead codes come from: someone pastes a string that never worked, and it sits there for months collecting clicks. We do not take submissions at all. If an offer is not in a merchant feed, it does not appear here.
We also refuse a few things that are easy to fake. There are no star ratings on this site, because we have no genuine reader reviews to build them from. There are no invented expiry dates. We never claim to have tested a code by placing an order, because we do not. How we verify spells out exactly what our daily check does and does not prove.
Who writes here
Store pages are maintained by the writer who covers that retail category, and their name appears on the page. The category beats are covered by 14 writers, one data desk handles the recurring reports built from the tracker itself, and one editor is responsible for the standards this site holds itself to.
The numbers you see in our articles are not typed in. They are read from the database when the page loads, so a figure in a piece written last month still matches what the tracker holds today. That is also why you will rarely see a hard number written into a sentence about retail policy: return windows and discount ceilings change, and a sentence that states one as fact goes stale quietly.
How the site pays for itself
When you use an offer here and go on to buy something, the retailer sometimes pays us a commission. That costs you nothing and does not change the price you pay. A large share of the stores we track pay us nothing at all, and we list them anyway, because a tracker that only covers paying retailers is a directory of advertisers rather than a record of the market. Affiliate disclosure covers this in full.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, we would rather hear it than leave it. Write to us at [email protected], or use the report button on any store page if a code failed at checkout. Our editorial standards explain how corrections are handled.
