Notes from the tech & electronics desk

Where the offers stand today

Some of Informit's offers apply only to selected items, not the full catalog, so the discount you see on the code page may not match what shows on a given title until you get to your cart. Couptic currently shows 21 live codes for Informit, with a ceiling up to 70%, which is a reasonable spread for a specialty technical publisher rather than a broad electronics retailer. For a niche site like this, that count reads as a healthy board, not a thin one.

The kind of offers this retailer issues

Every code we track for Informit is a percentage off, there are no flat dollar codes in the feed and none of the codes here are restricted to a first order. Some titles read as sitewide, others specify selected items, so the discount depends on which books or courses are in your cart. This falls under Tech & Electronics on Couptic because Informit's catalog is technical training and certification content rather than general merchandise, and that shapes which items a percentage code will actually touch. There is no free shipping code in the current feed, so shipping cost is handled separately from any promo you apply.

When it is worth waiting

Technical publishers tied to certification cycles tend to widen discounts around back to school stretches and around major version releases for the software or credentials the content covers, and one of the sample offers here is explicitly tied to a back to school push. That points to real seasonal movement rather than a flat rate all year. If you are not buying for an immediate exam or project deadline, waiting for one of those windows can matter more than chasing a slightly higher number today.

What trips people up at checkout

  • Selected items only. Several codes are scoped to selected items rather than the whole catalog. Confirm the specific title or bundle is included before you assume the code will apply.
  • No shipping code included. There is no free shipping offer in the current feed for Informit. Check the shipping line at checkout separately from whatever percentage code you enter.
  • Percentage base unclear. A percentage off code does not tell you what price it is calculated against if an item is already reduced. Check the final price shown after the code applies, not just the advertised percentage.

Desk note

All 21 offers on this page come from merchant and affiliate network feeds, never from user submissions, and the whole page is matched against those feeds once a day. An offer that leaves the feed is retired the same day and stays listed as retired for 60 days, because a retired code often still works. Nobody here writes a code by hand and nobody places a test order, so we never tell you an offer worked for us. A code that fails for you goes to the desk queue through the report button the same day.

Offers last matched against the feed: October 2, 2026. Page notes written by Nathan Ibarra.

How to use an InformIT offer

  1. Pick the offer that fits your cart

Offers on this page are ordered by how much they take off, not by how recent they are. Read the line under each one: it shows when the offer entered the tracker and, where the retailer states it, when it ends.

  2. Reveal the code

Codes are not printed in the page. Selecting an offer reveals the code and opens the retailer in a new tab at the same time, so you can paste it straight into the cart.

  3. Paste it at checkout before you pay

Enter the code in the promo or discount field and confirm the total changes before completing the order. A code that applies but takes off less than expected usually means part of the cart is excluded.

  4. Report it if it fails

If the offer does not apply, use the report button on this page. It goes to the desk queue the same day, and an offer that fails twice is retired.

InformIT offers, questions we can answer from the data

How many InformIT offers are live right now?

21 offers are live on this page right now. All of them need a code at checkout. The page was last matched against the merchant feed on October 2, 2026.

What is the best InformIT discount available?

The deepest discount on this page takes 70% off. 7 of the current offers read as sitewide, so they are not tied to one product line.

Does InformIT give a first order discount?

Not in the current set. None of the offers on this page are marked for first orders only, so what you see applies whether or not you have ordered before.

What should I do if an InformIT code does not work?

Check the terms under the offer first: most rejections come from a spend threshold, an excluded product line, or a first order restriction. If the code still fails, use the report button on this page. It goes to the desk queue the same day, and a code that fails twice is retired.
