Privacy policy

This page describes what happens to data when you read this site. It is short because the site collects very little.

What we do not do

We run no advertising network, no analytics product, and no social tracking pixels. There is no Google Analytics tag, no Facebook pixel, and no third party script of any kind loading on these pages. We do not set cookies of our own when you read the site, and we do not build a profile of you.

There are no reader accounts on Couptic. Nothing here asks you to register, and there is no password to lose.

What the server records

Like any web server, ours writes an access log: the address that made the request, the page asked for, the time, the browser’s user agent string, and the page that referred you. Those logs exist so we can find faults and block abuse, and they are kept for a limited period and then discarded.

Our content delivery provider

This site is served through Cloudflare, which sits between you and our server to filter abusive traffic and to serve pages faster. Cloudflare processes your address and request as part of that work, and may set its own security cookie to distinguish a person from an automated client. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy terms.

When you click through to a retailer

Following an offer takes you to the retailer, usually through an affiliate network. Once you leave this site, the retailer and the network apply their own tracking, cookies and privacy terms, and we have no control over and no visibility into what they collect. If that matters to you, read the privacy policy of the store you are visiting.

We do record, in aggregate, how many times a code has been revealed on our own pages. That count belongs to the offer, not to you: it carries no identifier and cannot be traced back to a reader.

If you write to us

An email to [email protected] reaches our inbox with whatever you put in it. We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to answer you and to check our own record, and we do not add your address to a mailing list, because we do not run one.

Children

This site is written for adults shopping online and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data an operator holds about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Given what is described above, the honest answer in almost every case is that we hold nothing beyond a server log entry and any email you sent us. Write to the address above and we will tell you what we have.

Changes

If the site starts collecting something it does not collect today, this page changes first.
